NOW THROUGH DEC. 31

The 14th annual Fantasy of Lights show continues every evening 6-10 p.m. through Monday, Dec. 31, including holidays, at Vasona Lake County Park, 333 Blossom Hill Rd. The event consists of a 1.5-mile drive-through holiday lights and display entertainment extravaganza. According to organizers, the show is the premier holiday lights spectacular in Northern California. Details: 408-355-2201.

THROUGH JAN. 27

“Santa’s Workshop—Remembering Favorite Toys” opened Nov. 9 and runs through the end of January at the Saratoga History Museum, 20450 Saratoga-Los Gatos Rd. Erector sets, Tinker Toys, vintage dolls, teddy bears and more are all on display—covering the period from the 1890s to 1950. The free exhibit additionally includes some of the “timeless toys” that have remained popular the ages. Stop by the Museum and see your favorite toys in the special exhibit from 1-4 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Bring an unwrapped toy for donation to the Sacred Heart Community Service toy drive which will run from Nov. 15-Dec. 12. DEC. 22

The Retro Dome, 1694 Saratoga Ave., presents Santastic! 11 a.m.-2 p.m. each Saturday in December, beginning Dec. 1 and ending Dec. 22.

THROUGH DEC. 21

Food donations can be dropped off at Saratoga City Hall, Joan Pisani Community Center, Saratoga Prospect Center, and Saratoga Library. Donations will be accepted until Dec. 21 and given to Second Harvest Food Bank.

DEC. 3

The Saratoga Community Band presents a free winter concert at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3 at the McAfee Center for the Performing Arts at Saratoga High School, 20300 Herriman Ave.

DEC. 7-8

A miserable con man and his partner pose as Santa and his Little Helper to rob department stores on Christmas Eve. But they run into problems when the conman befriends a troubled kid, and the security boss discovers the plot. Movie show times 7:30 p.m. at The Retro Dome, 1694 Saratoga Ave. Tickets are $9 adults, $8 students, seniors and military and $7 youth age 12 and under. Details: 408-404-7711. DEC. 8

Silicon Valley's Got Talent invites the community to its Rocking Party at 7 p.m. Blue Rock Shoot, 14523 Big Basin Way, in Saratoga. The last monthly event of the year, where you get to party with Santa and Santa's entourage. Perhaps we will hear holiday tunes ... holiday item dances ... or perhaps the good-ole roasting via some stand-up comedy ... this one is going to be a blast, and no entry fee as usual. Kids perform 7-8 p.m. Adults start 8 p.m. Dress up in holiday festive colors. Dress like Santa, or as Santa's elves and bring that holiday mood ... We will see a Claus family descend upon Blue Rock Shoot; never seen before.  Details: 408-805-5993.

The Retro Dome, 1694 Saratoga Ave., presents three Christmas stop-motion animated favorites! The three films will run noon-3 p.m. and repeated from 3-6 p.m. Come at any time from noon and stay any duration up to 6 p.m. See any one or all of the films! Details: 408-404-7711. Tickets are $10.

DEC. 13

Saratoga resident Cheryl Bailey and friends Judy Stanley, Jennifer Croll, Flying Lizard, Lori Cali host a holiday boutique 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Bailey's home, 14601 Wild Oak Way in Saratoga. Goodies will be served along with wine at night! There will be lots of fun things to choose from featuring many vendors showing items from stocking stuffers, hostess gifts to fun and unique gifts for all. Details: 408-838-1603

The community chorus Fun Times Singers will perform its holiday concert 7:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 14 and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16 at the Saratoga Civic Theater, 13777 Fruitvale Ave. Advance sale tickets are $12 and $15 at the door. Children 5 years or younger, accompanied by a paying adult, are admitted free of charge, but may have to sit on your lap if we have a sell-out concert.

Help those in need by donating to the City of Saratoga's annual holiday toy and food drive. Barrels for toy donations are located at the Saratoga city manager's office and at the Saratoga History Museum. Toys should be new, unwrapped, and nonviolent. Gifts for teenagers are in demand. Toys will be collected through Dec. 13 and given to Sacred Heart Community Service.
