Saratoga Village is getting a facelift.
Through the “Village Pedestrian Enhancement Plan,” a beautification scheme the city laid out this summer, downtown is in the process of receiving several refurbishments. They include sidewalk improvements, hanging plant baskets on the lamp poles, streetscape furniture and pedestrian bulb outs.
The funding for the renovation comes from a “Pedestrian Enhancement Grant” from the Valley Transportation Authority.
The project aims to improve patron safety along Big Basin Way while taking into account the unique and historic environment of the Village, wrote the City of Saratoga on its website.
