Happy Mother's Day, Saratoga!
Here are my favorite children's songs about the power of motherhood and its wonderful teachings.
I served for many years as a children's primary volunteer in my church while my daughters were young and helped lead many choirs that performed these special lullabies on Mother's Day. Enjoy.
I Often Go Walking

I often go walking in meadows of clover,
And I gather armfuls of blossoms of blue.
I gather the blossoms the whole meadow over;
Dear mother, all flowers remind me of you.
O mother, I give you my love with each flower
To give forth sweet fragrance a whole lifetime through;
For if I love blossoms and meadows and walking,
I learn how to love them, dear mother, from you.

Mother, I Love You
Mother, I love you; mother, I do.
Father in Heaven has sent me to you.
When I am near you, I love to hear you
Singing so softly that you love me too.
Mother, I love you; mother, I do.
I want to help you because I love you.
I want to mind you; I want to find you
Happy and smiling because I love you.
Mother, I love you; I love you, I do.
