What to Give the Dog Who Has Everything

Our pets are like our children. Why not pick something special for them this holiday season?

We, in the West Valley, have a lot of nice pet boutiques that satisfy our cat and dog gift giving needs.

My favorite place to shop is at the Pawsh Pet Boutique and Spa, 14440, Big Basin Way, in Saratoga Village and of course there is Purrsnickety and its sister shop Bow Wowzer, 100 No. Santa Cruz Ave., in Los Gatos, which have both been around forever it seems.

Our pets are like children and they often give unconditional love. Why not get something for them to open on Christmas morning or during the eight gift-giving days of Hanukkah?

If the usual chew toys and rhinestone-studded collars at these local places don't satisfy you, check out these amazing and clever dog structures.

My favorite is the t-shirt bed.

What's yours?

I think the best gift you can give a dog is lots of exercise and discipline. My dog thrived on that! The toys do help to keep them entertained and playful! I miss my dog so much! Please love your pets while you have them! Thanks for the post, Michelle. It's great!

Seriously, a walk a day, even if it's just 10 minutes is the best gift. My dog has really long hair so he can't wear clothes. He gets too hot. He does like a good rawhide bone though! I seriously love the jingle bells that hang off the door though. They ring the bells when they want to go out.

Talking about the ringing of bells, the sound I miss the most that my little doggie angel made was the clicking of her tiny metal ID tag with her homebound chip. So sad I lost her!

The t-shirt bed is great! My son's dog loves to nap with one of my son's t-shirts.

I love getting toys and catnip treats for my kitties and playing with them. It's as much fun for me as it is for them and helps create an even deeper bond.

My first X-MAS without my Kori-Panda....but I am very Thankful for the 17 years she gave me of un-conditional Love, Loyalty, & the Best Companionship! This is still real hard for me, but know it will pass...

Time heals for sure. Hang in there. Kori-Panda is a wonderful pet name.
