School Bus Seriously Injures Elderly Bicyclist in Saratoga

An 82-year-old bicyclist was seriously injured after he was struck by a school bus in Saratoga Friday afternoon, a California Highway Patrol officer said.
The crash at Prospect Road and South De Anza Boulevard, right on the Saratoga-San Jose border, was reported at 2:09 p.m., according to the CHP.
The bus was carrying an unspecified number of students at the time of the crash.
The students and driver were not injured, CHP Officer Chris Falkowski said.
According to the CHP, the rider's legs were reportedly stuck under the bus.
He was taken to the hospital with major injuries, Falkowski said.
