If last Wednesday’s presidential debate left you with more questions than answers, here’s your chance for the presidential candidates to address the issues that most matter to you.
The next presidential debate will be a town hall meeting format at Hofstra University in Long Island, where voters will ask President Obama and Mitt Romney about domestic and foreign policy.
Patch is asking you, our readers, to participate by submitting questions for the candidates.
All you have to do is post your question in the comments section below and we’ll send it to the Commission on Presidential Debates. The Commission is partnering with Patch's parent company Aol, along with Google and Yahoo, to take questions from web users across the country.
Don’t wait until Nov. 6 to have a say in this year’s election. Share your thoughts in the comments!
Please submit your questions by 3 p.m. Tuesday, so we'll have time to collect and send along the best questions.
1. Mr. President, are you comfortable? Can we get you anything? 2. Mr. President, isn't it true that all of the country's problems are the House GOP's fault? And Bush's fault for putting us in this "mess" 3. Mr. President, what do you think of the Chicago Bears season so far? Would you start the Bears DST in your fantasy league over Baltimore DST? 4. Mr. President, we all know that the college BCS system is a problem. What can you do to ensure all top NCAA football teams get "a fair shot"? 5. Mr. President, what is your favorite beer? 6. Mr. President, isn't it true that it was your intervention that got the NFL and its referees to agree to new contract? Do you think those replacement refs were as bad as Romney would be as President?
Our middle class is simply pushed to the limit. Gas, up again, no job loyalty anymore, global economics instead of local economics. There are simply more people on this Earth than necessary jobs no matter how creative you get. The people say to have the rich pay the dept- ok fine, short term thinking and easy pointing finger answer; but really, dept upon dept per country is really the issue, so every government says. I say our USA machine has gotten too complicated. I believe our problem is we've built our economy based on taxes and the trades the government relies on, based on taxes. If the middle class cannot give more, find another barrel. What other barrel shall you find? That would interest me.
Mr. Romney, one of my concerns is for the moral compass and mental fortitude required to lead our great nation. Five of your former high school classmates have expressed remorse for their part in holding down a classmate that was believed to be gay, while you viciously cut his hair off with a scissors. One man said it still haunts him to this day, yet you have said you don't remember the incident. We've all done stupid things in life that we regret, so having more time to reflect, do you still not remember this incident that you allegedly instigated? If not, and considering the extraordinary number of times you've shape shifted your policies and core principles, is there anything wrong with your memory or mental health?
