San Jose resident Polina Edmunds has been chosen to compete in the 2013 U.S. Olympic figure skating team, U.S. Figure Skating officials said Sunday.

Edmunds, 15, was one of three people chosen to compete in the ladies singles competition, along with three alternates, skating officials said. Her teammates are current U.S. national champion Gracie Gold and 2012 and 2013 champion Ashley Wagner.

The announcement came the day after Edmunds' silver medal win at the 2014 Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championships.
