Saratogan Kerri Walsh Goes For 4th Gold

American silver medalist April Ross to become local volleyball star's new partner in 2016 Summer Games.

Saratoga resident Kerri Walsh Jennings, who attended St. Mary's School in Los Gatos and graduated from Stanford, announced Tuesday that her new partner in the Summer Games of 2016 will be American silver medalist April Ross.

Townsfolk beamed with pride for Walsh Jennings and her amazing performance during the 12th Olympic Games in London, England with teammate Misty May-Treanor.

Now they're rooting for the 6-foot tall athlete as she attempts, once again, to win gold in the fourth Summer Games in women's beach volleyball.

Walsh Jennings has been growing a local fan base for years due to her strong ties with both communities having grown up in the West Valley.

The Santa Cruz Sentinel reported that Walsh Jennings had her third child in the spring and is working to participate in the upcoming Wold Series of Beach Volleyball in Long Beach.
