SARATOGA NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATIONS MEETING

Attention all Saratoga residents ... the Saratoga City Council is hosting a joint meeting with Saratoga's neighborhood associations at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 19 at the Joan Pisani Community Center, 19655 Allendale Ave. The meeting's purpose is to talk about the accomplishments of each neighborhood association in the past year, the goals for the year ahead, and how the City Council members can help facilitate those goals. Meeting attendees will also include Saratoga City Manager Dave Anderson, city department directors, the police chief and city staff. A light dinner will be served. Details: 408-868-1275.

SARATOGA CITY COUNCIL MEETING

The Saratoga City Council meets at 7 p.m. Wednesday June 19, at the Civic Theatre/Council Chambers, 13777 Fruitvale Ave. Details: 408-868-1200.

SARATOGA VILLAGE MARKETPLACE FARMERS MARKET

The Saratoga Chamber of Commerce and the Saratoga-Monte Sereno Community Foundation host the city's Wednesday's farmers market, 2:30-6:30 p.m. at Saratoga Village's Blaney Plaza, corner of Big Basin Way and Highway 9.

COUNTY SUPE SIMITIAN AT SARATOGA'S FARMERS MARKET

Santa Clara County Supervisor Joe Simitian, whose fifth supervisorial district includes Saratoga, will be holding sidewalk officer hours at the Saratoga Farmers Market 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 22 at West Valley College, 14000 Fruitvale Ave. Details: 408-299-5050, or supervisor.simitian@bos.sccgov.org

SARATOGA MOVIE NIGHT SERIES BEGINS FRIDAY

The Saratoga Movie Night Series begins at 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 21 at El Quito Park, 12855 Paseo Presada. The event is sponsored by the Saratoga Parks and Recreation Commission, which will also present movie nights the evenigns of July 19 and Aug. 16 at the same time and same location. The film shown will be National. Free popcornand coffee will be served. The public is encouraged to bring lawnchairs and blankets.
