Saratoga Woman Arrested For Beating Up Husband

The Fourth of July holiday turned out to be one of violence for a local couple.

Santa Clara County sheriff's deputies arrested a 47-year-old Saratoga woman at 7:05 p.m. July 4 on Carrick Avenue for felony corporal injury on her spouse.

The woman, whose occupation was listed as self-employed in the sheriff's arrest report, was charged with willfully inflicting upon her partner corporal injury resulting in a traumatic condition.

If found guilty, the woman could be punished by imprisonment for two, three, or four years, or in a county jail for not more than one year, or by a fine of up to $6,000, or by both that fine and imprisonment, according to the California penal code.
